Service Description

Math & Logic gives students an informal and fun introduction to the nature of mathematics and its underlying structure. Students will practice complex thinking skills while solving puzzles and learning about topics, such as deductive reasoning, contradiction, invariants, and parity in order to solve a variety of engaging and hands-on problems. This class is designed for ages 8-12. If you would like to register a student outside of that age range, please email us at prior to enrolling. May 2nd - Intro to Logical Reasoning with Cryptarithms May 4th - Inductive vs. Deductive Reasoning May 9th - "If...Then" Reasoning & Proof by Contradiction May 11th - Whodunnit? Logic Puzzles May 16th - Fun with Invariants (Jittery Soldier Problem) May 18th - Fun with Invariants (Girl/Boy Lineup Problem) May 23rd - Introduction to Parity May 25th - Exploring Parity Further (Euler Paths) *This class has a minimum enrollment of 3 students. You will not be charged/will be refunded if the class is cancelled due to low enrollment- but we would love for you to tell your friends and help us fill the class.
