Totally Terrific Topology!

Service Description

Topology is the mathematical study of shapes and spaces, and involves seeing how shapes transform as a result of stretching, folding and twisting. This short two-part class gives students the chance to investigate topology through several fun, hands-on activities. We will use paper to explore the mathematical mysteries of the Mobius Strip, hexaflexagons, and more! Topology and paper folding involves geometric reasoning and creative problem-solving (and as a bonus, hexaflexagons make amazing fidgets)! This class does require a pdf to be printed prior to class, as well as basic learning materials (e.g. paper, scissors, crayons, and glue).
