About the Course
This course empowers students with essential financial literacy skills to confidently navigate real-world economic decisions. Designed for students who need an additional high school math credit but may not be ready for Algebra 2 or Pre-Calculus, or for any student wishing to explore financial math, the course emphasizes practical, hands-on learning over abstract theory. Students will explore everyday financial topics, such as budgeting, banking, credit, taxes, loans, insurance, and investing, while developing a solid understanding of the math behind them. By focusing on real-life applications, this course helps students build confidence in their mathematical reasoning and make informed financial choices for their futures.
