About the Course
This course bridges the gap between Algebra 2 and Calculus, providing students with a deeper understanding of functions, advanced algebraic techniques, and foundational concepts in trigonometry and analytical geometry. Pre-Calculus emphasizes mathematical modeling and prepares students for the rigor of calculus by developing their problem-solving skills and conceptual understanding. Students will explore a wide range of functions - including polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric - and apply them to real-world situations and mathematical challenges.
Topics include complex numbers, identities, vectors, parametric equations, polar coordinates, and an introduction to limits. Through engaging instruction and comprehensive coursework, students will be equipped with the skills necessary for success in calculus and beyond, with applications relevant to science, engineering, economics, and other quantitative fields.
This online course will include 34.5 weeks of live instruction, printable coursework for each unit, assessments, and a comprehensive solutions manual for students and parents.
